Myself and a colleague worked together to create a music video to the song all the good girls go to hell by Billie Eilish in our A2 Media Studies class.  This was the most gratifying and fulfilling experience to see all my hard work in something I'm so proud of.  This is the specific text I reference in question 1. AS Media Studies was the biggest learning curve I faced.  Learning the codes and conventions of film openings and genres was intriguing, yet converting that into our own film opening was more difficult than expected.  The whole journey was challenging but rewarding and aided in my confidence in A2. We focused on the SFX to create verisimilitude.  Here is some of the makeup I did: This is the first practice production exercise we did in our AS Media Studies class.  We specifically focused on shot types and edited on Final Cut Pro X, which, at this point, I wasn't massively comfortable with.

In 2019, two colleagues and I had the opportunity to present our own radio show, along with a few other people from our school, on ARA City Radio, a national Luxembourgish radio station and internationally accessible online.  In the beginning, we were on air once a month, but due to positive reception, we were able to get two shows in per month.  Each show is an hour long and we typically discuss current events or play games which involves audience engagement.  Back in 2019, we were pre-recording and editing our shows on the software Audacity, but over time we had the confidence to do live shows and haven't looked back. I have my own YouTube channel where I upload videos of my experiences and adventures.  Due to convergence, I can film on my iPhone with 4k.  In this Spain 2020 video, I experimented a lot on Final Cut Pro X including using LUTs colour grading for the first time, as well as downloading different plugins for effects and transitions.  In one scene where we jump into the pool and the camera goes underwater, I went as far as editing the sound to emphasise this. I created my first YouTube channel in 2016 with my friend.  We would film, edit and upload videos on a regular basis.  This is what introduced me to my passion of creating and producing videos.  We would use a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ55 camera and edit on iMovie.   I have numerous videos of experiences I shared with my friends and family which I have kept unlisted.  Here are a couple of others:    

The triple award BTEC Performing Arts has really helped me work in groups and become more confident in public speaking and performance.  We have covered a large range of skills which I will use throughout my life.  During lockdown, I was even able to put my media skills to use by editing together a video to the musical Chicago's Cell Block Tango.   I was also able to storyboard, script, film, direct and use Final Cut Pro X when creating a parody of an ice cream advert for our Film and TV Acting unit. In our GCSE Media Studies, our coursework project was to create a vlog style of video for a social media influencer or "YouTuber".  This was my first time working with Final Cut Pro X and DSLR cameras as well as a GoPro.  I directed my colleague on how I wanted the camera shots and lighting to be. We also created a website for this influencer, which included making merchandise: I also created social media for this character, such as, Twitter , Instagram and a YouTube channel .
